Inheritances

Executors and accountants

We offer our experience as executors and estate accountants. These are auxiliary inheritance institutions that are very useful when the testator needs someone to trust after his death to carry out the partitions and avoid judicial conflict between the heirs.

The testator is thereby assured that his will will be respected and disputes between heirs will be prevented.

The intervention of an external professional not only provides technical rigor, but also acts as a neutrality filter necessary in times of grief.

1. Executor: The Guardian of the Will

The executor is the trusted person in charge of carrying out the testamentary provisions. Its main functions include:

  • Custody of assets: Ensure the security of the estate.
  • Execution of the will: Ensure that each legacy reaches its destination as planned.
  • Suffrage and funeral: Organize the acts arranged by the testator.

2. Counter-Partier: Precision and Fairness

Unlike the executor, the accountant-partier has a strictly technical and decisive function:

  • Inventory and Valuation: Objectively determine the value of the assets.
  • Settlement of Profits: Separate the assets of the widowed spouse if necessary.
  • Award: Carry out the division of assets between the heirs, preventing them from having to reach a unanimous agreement (which is usually the origin of conflicts).
